A central Place for iPhone News & Reviews
iphone.topnewsdigest.com is constantly updated with all the latest news about the iPhone and the AppStore. Enjoy.
Err…you may be disappointed though. Particularly if you were on the look-out for some manbits.
Considering the iPhone doesn’t have a front-facing camera, video-chatting on Chatroulette with your iPhone just wouldn’t work. So it’s no surprise the Chatroulette! (exclamation mark their own) app is a fakey. Developers xhumans describes the app as allowing you to connect “to a random user to chat with.” Text chat, needless to say.
Sooo, you may as well go back to leaving your AIM details on bathroom walls, or just firing up your old ICQ username, if typing weird come-ons to strangers is what you seek. It’ll save you 99 cents, anyway. [Chatroulette! via Mobile-Ent]

Thanks to this brand new music app, you can now mix and play quality music wherever you are!
Cue.Play.DJ. is a digital disk jockey app that lets you host amazing parties and dances with your iPhone. You can easily control and fine tune tracks with the display. Featuring virtual knobs and sliders, crossfading, auto BPM detection and simultaneous playback of two tracks, this app provides you with a wonderful and simple interface for rocking out.
With the free companion desktop app, you can even control your computer and speakers over Wi-Fi. No more connecting your iPhone to speakers, now that’s done wirelessly. This app allows you to listen to your own music on your iPod while the cued songs continue to play.
Cue.Play.DJ. is available in the App Store now for $9.99 which might seem expensive, but after playing with this app once and discovering all of its features, I think you’ll find it’s worth it. Lastly, Capsulated Software promises “many exciting features” to come.

Tweetie 2, our favorite iPhone twitter client just got quite an update.
It now boasts Foursquare integration, which lets you check out venues your friends tweet about right from the app and it will also run just fine on your upcoming iPad.
The most interesting addition however, is most probably Instapaper Mobilizer. Indeed, while checking tweets is quick and convenient, whenever you follow a link, you’re stuck waiting for a bulky web view to load. Well, this is the end of that.
In short, once activated in the settings, the Instapaper Mobilizer engine will transform web pages you consult from Tweetie into an iPhone optimized text. No more zooming or advertising, just the content you need, in a fast and convenient format.
If you own it already, it’s free of charge. For the rest of you, it’s $2.99

Tapped on App Store and what did I see? Updates for Tweetie, Loopt, Foursquare, and Flickr — and a couple of those say iPhone OS 3.2 (aka iPad) right there in the What’s New listing. (Yeah, that doesn’t mean 3.2 is coming to the iPhone or these are 1024×768 versions, likely just that they’re built using that SDK for maximum blackboxing on the iPad).
Tweetie [$2.99 - iTunes link] has just hit version 2.1.1 and brings iPhone OS 3.2 compatibility(!), Foursquare (4sq.com) integration, Vodpod video uploads, Post ‘message’ parameter to TwitPic, and Instapaper Mobilizer. See our previous Tweetie coverage for more on the app.
Loopt [Free - iTunes link] expands the product’s Pulse feature to include tens of thousands of local events, and allows check-in to events, public Tips, and the ability to RSVP to events posted on Facebook. It’s also got you covered for SXSW, and adds content from SonicLiving, Zvents and Metromix.
Foursquare [Free - iTunes link] brings a whole new look and feel (see below), faster, better checkin, and categories for Places view. Also, it has history for Places, and uses Tweetie-style pull-to-refresh.

SinSearch [Free - iTunes link] is a very bad iPhone app. Not bad as in badly done by any means — bad as in it helps you find things that are bad for your health, bad for your wallet, and/or bad for any chance at a career in public office should they be discovered. (Which means, of course, it should be wildly popular):
SinSearch uses your GEOlocation (GPS) to pinpoint bars, clubs, taxis, spirits, wine bars and many more locations nearest your current location. Scroll through a list of results and click to find locations organized by distance away from you. Address, phone number, map and directions are all provided within the app. Perfect for those of you looking to have a memorable night of fun in a new town or in your very own backyard! It will not only help you find fun but help you get out of trouble with searches for lawyers, churches, hospitals and more!
Nice little shot of redemption there at the end! If you give it a try, let us know what you think!
